Dimark's standards based network provisioning and management products combines a client-server architecture with the intelligence and power of modern network processors to provide a comprehensive software solution that makes sophisticated network devices easy to install and manage. Dimarks software technology can be readily applied to a wide range of networked products.
Dimark's engineering efforts are currently focused on TR-069 and related technologies. The software architecture has two key components, the Dimark Management Server (DMS) and the Dimark Embedded Client.
TR-069 ACS
DMS manages
the software versions, configuration data files, upgrades, optional
features and subscriptions. It interacts with the broadband providers
OSS to obtain the configuration data and features selected by
the customer for each gateway. It then provides this information
to the gateway during installation, or post-installation for
configuration changes, upgrades and to add new features. To provide
scalability to accommodate a growing customer base, load balancing
and failure recovery, DMS may be hosted on multiple geographically
dispersed servers.
TR-069 Embedded Client
The TR-069 client runs
as embedded software in the gateway and acts as an agent to enforce
the DMS policies. It has a modular architecture and has been written
to be OS and hardware independent allowing it to be easily ported
to a different OS and hardware platform. As DMS supports the industry
standard TR-069, it is not necessary for Dimark to supply the client
code embedded in the CPE in order for the companys ACS to be
able to provision the device.
